I am attempting to study Hebrew for the first time at the ripe old age of
68. I registered for a course with Classical Hebrew.com from Israel and tried them,
but it didn’t seem to be working out for me, and I wasn’t willing to risk
$800.00 to continue with it. I purchased Hebrew Tutor which has an
excellent CD rom with exercises and drills, and I purchased an excellent
text entitled Basics of Biblical Hebrew by Pratico & Van Pelt which is
helping. And I have been using your material as well. But sometimes I
need to ask a teacher a question! For example, The symbol for the vowels Qames and Qames Hatuph are identical. But they are different. How does one know when they encounter this symbol which is the intended vowel?
